Abstract

Public service is the fulfillment of desires and needs of the community by the state. The purpose of public service is basically satisfy the people. Public service is a very important for people to get ease in their activities. Bus Trans Sarbagita is one of public service in the field of transport owned by the provincial government of Bali to stretch Kota - GWK. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of State Route Bus Trans Sarbagita Kota - GWK which in terms of accessibility, capacity, timeliness, tariffs / pricing, as well as safety and comfort. In collecting the data, researchers used a structured interview with a means of questionnaires and observation. Data was collected through questionnaires by respondents. The Trans Sarbagita Bus Kota - GWK Route considered effective in terms of accessibility and capacity even Bus Trans Sarbagita Route Kota - GWK is considered to be very effective when viewed in terms of safety and comfort as well as the rates / prices. However Bus Trans Sarbagita Route Kota - GWK considered ineffective in terms of timeliness because Bus Trans Sarbagita Route Kota - GWK often exposed to congestion on the Patung Dewa Ruci thus making their journey longer time compared to using a personal vehicle.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out whether the Food & Beverage (F&B) service of a restaurant operation plays an important role in tourism industries in global era. The result shows that F&B Service staffs play important role to encourage tourism industries in global era as they face directly with the tourists and they have to master the international service etiquette. To implement the service etiquette, all the F&B Service staffs have to commit to give an excellent service to the guests who come to their restaurant. To offer the excellent servive to the restaurant guests, the management are beginning with pre-service briefing, welcoming the guest, greeting the guest, escorting the guest, taking order, serving food & beverage on dinning table, clearing up the table, billing (pricing), parting, “ saying good bye, and see you again”. By providing excellent service, tourists will be satisfied and return again to a restaurant. To increase the restaurant selling today programme, all restaurant staffs should do “up-selling”. For up-selling purpose in a restaurant, the waiter/waitress should suggest guests to enjoy the quality drink such as win, or champagne, to accompany their food and today special food programme.

Abstract

Labor is basically the backbone of national development, because without workers the development can not run smoothly. This is why the government pays great attention on labor by issuing Law No. . 13 Year 2013 on Employment . In Act No. . 13 In 2013 it is set the protection of labor. One is the arrangement of outsourcing and contract labor. But it turns out in field the arrangement of outsourcing and contract labor undergo many irregularities . The arrangement of outsourcing and contract labor was contrary to several articles in the 1945 Constitution as the basic law of the highest in Indonesia . The purpose of this study is to conduct an inventory and analysis of the implementation of the Employment Act especially with regard to outsourcing and contract labor force as opposed to the sound of some articles of the 1945 Constitution . The goal is for the perfection of the Employment Act ,namely Law No. 13 of 2003.

Abstract

The use of multimedia technology in education is very supportive to efficiency and effectiveness of teaching and learning process. In the field of Chemistry, multimedia is used to present concepts of chemistry at level of macroscopic, sub-microscopic, and symbolic. This module development is intended to provide students with teaching resources for their selfdirected learning. In order to know criteria of feasibility of the draft, some validation had been done including content validation and media validation. The average percentage values obtained in media and design validation module is 93.75% and 85.42%. This value indicates that no revisions of the modules developed. In one-two-one evaluation was 85.01%, small group evaluation was 84.36%, and field trial was 82.27%. The revision is based on comments and suggestions from the validator. This is done to improve the developed draft. There are significant differences in students' learning achievement, based on results of pretest and posttest conducted, This means that the development of multimedia modules have positive impact on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Tourism is a thriving industry in Bali that has lasted many years. This study has traced a small part of development of tourism in Bali. Interest of the tourists visiting Bali has improved because of culture, nature, and other tourist attractions. One of the cultural activities done by tourist in Bali is wedding. Wedding ceremonies mostly handled by wedding agents, travel agent, hotel or other organization, such as religion organization done by Protestant Christian Church in Bali, who has an institution which is called Bali Church Wedding. The purpose of this study is to see how Bali Church Wedding organise wedding in correlation with wedding agents, travel agents, hotels and other organizations. Beside that to see the other impact of the weddings in Bali, venue used by the couple and the posedure of the wedding in Bali. The study found several findings that may help GKPB to improve the interpersonal skill of their staffs in handling the wedding ritual and participate in the wedding party. Beside that there is a need to formwedding agent association in Bali so there will be a same system in offering the budget for the servise of the religious institution.

Abstract

In accordance with future tourism, there will be a movement from mass tourism to quality tourism, as a sequence, all sectors that take part in tourism development should develop quality tourism. Ecotourism is one of the quality tourism which aims at sustainability of nature or ecology, economy and social benefit. This study aimed to know the activities of Taman Sari Buwana Ecotourism which has implemented sustainable tourism at Banjar Beng Kaja, Tunjuk Village, Tabanan Regency. Data of this study was collected by using direct observation, depth interview, and documentation. The data is obtained from informants who know the object of the study such as the Head and villagers of Tunjuk Village. After that the data was analysed descriptively. The results of the study showed that the activities of ecotourism in Banjar Beng Kaja include trekking, observing and participating way of life and traditional farming of the local people. Those activities could attract and satisfy the visitors because they could give them new experiences. In addition, they could give a positive contribution to economy, social and environment of Banjar Beng Kaja which is in accordance with the concept of sustainable tourism.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is influence of the number of cigarettes smoked per day against Lung Cancer at the School of Economics student Bali International Institute of Tourism Management (STIE - BITTM) Sahid. After analyzing gradually acquired sig . = 0.403 > 0.05 so that Ho is accepted in other words , a variable number of cigarettes smoked per day did not significantly influence the lung cancer illness among students . Obtained an average value of covariates (which is used as a predictor ) is 5.167 . This value means that both male and female students , the average cigarette rod 5 a day , the students in this study were categorized as light smokers because smoking less than 10 cigarettes per day . In other words they are in the maintenance stage of smoking . For students , smoking is one of self-regulation (self - preparatory ) , smoking was done to obtain unpleasant physiological effects . Based on Plot Survival Function at mean of covariates obtained survival rate (healthy) decreases student active smokers among female respondents in week 7 and men at week 9 through week 12 . This is consistent with the results Plot Hazard Function at Mean of covariates where possible dangers for female respondents lung disease appear after 7th week and continue to increase until week 11 . While for men take place in week 9 and continue to increase up to week 11 . In fact females is getting more possible in having lung cancer than males.
